North Korea Proposes Joint Investigation Into Sony Hacks, Claim They Didn’t Do It

After the FBI confirmed that North Korea did in fact hack Sony last week, the country on everyone’s lips has finally spoke out, saying they had nothing to do with it. However, what NK are now saying is that there will be “serious consequences” if the United States DON’T let them join in with the investigation. They also – amazingly – called the hack a “righteous deed.” So they clearly enjoyed it. The statement reads: “The U.S. should bear in mind that it will face serious consequences in case it rejects our proposal for joint investigation and presses for what it called countermeasures. We have a way to prove that we have nothing to do with the case without resorting to torture, as what the C.I.A. does.” So there we go. North Korea are still that shady kid in the playground that you just can’t figure out. [via NY Times]
