‘WE WANT SULE LAMIDO FOR PRESIDENT IN 2015’

A group calling itself Kano PDP Concerned Members has expressed support for a possible Sule Lamido presidential candidacy in 2015. In an event held at Mumbayya House in Kano, chairman of the group Alhaji Saidu Garba Dala said with the recent national political issues there is a need to have focused leaders that will emancipate Nigeria from its present predicaments. He said the concerned members of the People’s Democratic Party have seen the qualities of a good leader in the Jigawa State governor and are therefore calling on him to declare his intention to contest in 2015. He added that the group is in total support of the New PDP under the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Baraje, even though the group is hoping that the rift in the party will be resolved amicably. Earlier in his speech chairman of the occasion elder Alhaji Adamu Chiranchi Gaya said, history has shown that Governor Sule Lamido had never vied for any political position on his own volition, he added that he is what he is today because that is what the people want.
